The poster that fills the stands
A poster for a school game, made twice: the second time after seeing what worked from three meters away.
Fill in the spaces and watch it change
Generate the illustration for a vertical poster for a school volleyball game. What it has to get across: that they’ll miss out on something if they don’t go. The image: a volleyball at its highest point, with the shadow of a three-hand block below it. Leave empty space at the top for the title and at the bottom for the date, which we’ll add ourselves. No real people and no recognizable faces.
3 fields are missing: they will be copied with the examples. The examples are fine to start with, but your own details are what make the piece yours.
Where it is made: An image generator, the one your Learning Facilitator set up for the Unit.
- Before pasting anything, write by hand: “What we think will come out: ______”. When you see the result, note whether what you anticipated came out or not.
- Stick attempt 1 on the wall and look at it from three meters away. Each team says one sentence starting with C1 or C2.
- Attempt 2: change only what failed at three meters.
- C1: from three meters away you can tell which sport it is and that it’s a game.
- C2: the title and the date fit and can be read.
- C3: we can say whether, between attempt 1 and attempt 2, the instruction got better or the question got better, and why.
And at the end: did the prompt get better, or did the question?
