A tactic explained in 30 seconds
An animation with circles and arrows that explains a football tactic, like a TV match analysis.
Fill in the spaces and watch it change
Create a 30-second animation, made with code (shapes, arrows and text), that explains the high press right after losing the ball. The pitch is seen from above in green, with one team as blue circles and the other as red circles. The animation goes in four steps, with a short on-screen sentence for each: 1) the starting situation, 2) what the blue team does, 3) what problem that creates for the red team, 4) how the play ends. Use the style of play associated with Manchester City as the example, but with no player names or faces. Audience: someone who watches football but has never thought about tactics.
3 fields are missing: they will be copied with the examples. The examples are fine to start with, but your own details are what make the piece yours.
Where it is made: An assistant that generates animations with code (moving shapes, arrows and text), the one your Learning Facilitator set up for the Unit.
- Before pasting, draw the four steps by hand on paper: if you cannot follow it drawn, the animation will not explain it either.
- Compare the explanation with an analysis from a serious sports outlet; if the tool says something doubtful about the team, cut it.
- Ask for the play to be pausable and replayable.
- C1: someone who did not know the tactic can explain it after watching.
- C2: each step has just one idea.
- C3: whatever is said about the real team has been checked, or it is not said.
And at the end: did the prompt get better, or did the question?
