Write the script and generate the images for a six-panel comic about a six a.m. ride on a guagua, a Dominican minibus. The typical characters anyone from here would recognize show up, all of them invented: the fare collector who says “there’s room” when there isn’t, a lady with a bag of bread for the whole neighborhood, and someone asleep in any position. What happens on the ride: a hen gets on and nobody knows whose it is. The last panel ends with the hen gets off on its own at its stop. Style: newspaper cartoon, bright colors. The humor is affectionate, never making fun of anyone.
4 fields are missing: they will be copied with the examples. The examples are fine to start with, but your own details are what make the piece yours.
Where it is made: An image generator, the one your Learning Facilitator set up for the Unit.
- Add a detail only someone who takes that route every day would know (without saying which route it is).
- The characters are types, not people: never draw someone you know.
- If the guagua comes out looking like a bus from another country, describe what ours look like: colors, signs, the fare collector at the door.
- C1: someone from here reads it and says “that’s so true.”
- C2: the humor doesn’t make fun of anyone.
And at the end: did the prompt get better, or did the question?
