Create a dembow track about 90 seconds long, with the genre’s signature rhythm, heavy bass and an energetic generic voice. The song explains how the lunch of the day gets served in the cafeteria so there’s enough for everyone so that someone who knows nothing about it can learn it. Audience: the first-years who are new to the school. The lyrics are mine and they’re below: no swearing and no insults to anyone. Leave an 8-beat instrumental break before the last chorus for a dance move. Lyrics: Chorus: Rice goes first, then the beans on the tray, that’s how we eat at school every day…

3 fields are missing: they will be copied with the examples. The examples are fine to start with, but your own details are what make the piece yours.

Where it is made: A music generator that takes lyrics, the one your Learning Facilitator set up for the Unit.

How to personalise it
  1. Try the lyrics out loud with hand claps before pasting them: if they don’t fit the rhythm, the tool won’t fix them.
  2. Swap the topic for something you really do better than most people.
  3. Ask for two versions at different speeds and keep the one that’s easier to understand.
Did it work?
  • C1: someone who didn’t know the topic understands it by the end of the song.
  • C2: the lyrics have no swearing and no attacks on anyone, and they still have flow.

And at the end: did the prompt get better, or did the question?
