Write a ten-panel illustrated story, with the respect for nature and the calm of the films of Studio Ghibli, but in a style of its own. In a mountain river with big rocks and pools where people swim lives an invented spirit: a being made of yagrumo leaves that can only be seen when it rains while the sun is out. A young person discovers the river is sick because of the plastic trash that washes down from the road after every downpour. The story ends with something small and possible that the person does, not with a miracle. Watercolor colors, lots of light, animals of the island in the background.
4 fields are missing: they will be copied with the examples. The examples are fine to start with, but your own details are what make the piece yours.
Where it is made: An image generator, the one your Learning Facilitator set up for the Unit.
- Find a real problem affecting the river or beach closest to you, and check that it really exists.
- The action at the end has to be something a person your age can really do.
- Don’t ask to imitate a studio’s drawing: describe the style yourself.
- C1: the spirit is original and connected to the nature of this place.
- C2: the ending is possible, not magic.
- C3: the river’s problem is real and well told.
And at the end: did the prompt get better, or did the question?
