Write an eight-panel illustrated story, with the tenderness and soft drawing of stories like Heartstopper, about two original 15-year-old characters who become friends. They meet because they both want the last seat in the shade at break time. The moment that changes everything is one lends the other an earbud so they can listen to the same song. The story has no villains: the conflict is shyness. Style: pencil lines, pastel colors and small leaves falling in the background. Little dialogue; looks and gestures say more.

4 fields are missing: they will be copied with the examples. The examples are fine to start with, but your own details are what make the piece yours.

Where it is made: An image generator, the one your Learning Facilitator set up for the Unit.

How to personalise it
  1. Describe the characters by what they like and how they move, not by how they look.
  2. Write the story’s one important line of dialogue yourself.
Did it work?
  • C1: you can feel the shyness and the change without anyone saying it.
  • C2: both characters are original and recognizable in every panel.

And at the end: did the prompt get better, or did the question?
