The cover of an album that doesn’t exist
Design the cover of an invented album for an invented artist, and make the genre audible just by looking at it.
Fill in the spaces and watch it change
Generate a square album cover for an invented dembow artist. The album is about a whole summer without power in the neighborhood, told with humor. The image: a dead light bulb hanging from a wire, with fireflies around it forming a heart. No text in the image, no real people, and no resemblance to any existing cover. Color palette: black, neon green and yellow.
4 fields are missing: they will be copied with the examples. The examples are fine to start with, but your own details are what make the piece yours.
Where it is made: An image generator, the one your Learning Facilitator set up for the Unit.
- Show it to someone without saying the genre: if they guess it, it works.
- Add the title and the invented artist’s name with an editor, choosing the typeface yourself.
- C1: you can guess the genre by looking at the cover.
- C2: it still works small, as an icon on a phone.
And at the end: did the prompt get better, or did the question?
